My 8 years with Rushmans have been a baptism by fire.
I met its founder Nigel Rushman through a strange twist of fate that changed my life’s trajectory.
The original plan was to work as a yacht deckhand in the South of France during a uni Summer.
During yachting’s obligatory training course in Antibes, I hit it off with the lad who sat next to me in the classroom. He told me about his business idea, and I decided to put my computer science degree to use and join him to code it.
We moved to Monaco, and fueled by Rana Tortellini we began to seek seed funding. The next thing we knew we were in the Hôtel de Paris pitching to an aviation billionaire and my now boss Nigel Rushman, who were sitting together having a drink.
That pitch changed my life – but not in the way I’d initially hoped. I gained an invaluable mentor in Nigel.
Fast forward 8 years and I’ve worked closely with some of the most experienced executives over a number of years on major international briefs.
The role has seen me live and work all around the globe in a variety of industries. From Washington DC to help a Government plan and implement its approach there, to briefs across the MENA region, South America, Central Asia, Paris, Singapore, Barcelona, Stockholm, Italy, and to where it all began in Monaco. The list is still growing. It’s been challenging but fascinating work.
Rushmans works at the intersection of commerce, soft power, bidding, nation branding and sport. We’re a Monaco-based consultancy that helps individuals and teams of all sizes make their ambitions real.
I’m currently living in London and am always looking to expand my network. So if you fancy a coffee, drop me a line, and let’s have a chat.
