What happened in Sports AI over the last week?

  1. As Sport is one of the only forms of Media that is still viewed live, event scheduling is a prominent challenge – especially with regards to maximising broadcast/sponsorship revenue. Fastbreak is using AI to solve the scheduling problem. They just took additional investment from TMRW Sports.
  2. Perplexity boosts sports coverage with AI-powered features. Users can now view a well-rounded AI-generated overview of NFL games and it plans to extend into other sports.
  3. As the sports manufacturing industry evolves, AI emerges as a critical catalyst for innovation and efficiency, in the supply chain and production processes – for instance, in NBA stores.
  4. The Basketball Champions League has partnered with Stats Perform to deliver AI-powered official insight data.
